How it works
Builds a small validated shared firewall rule model for QuickKit's local firewall generators. drop silently discards the packet: the rule itself does not request a response to the source. reject discards the packet using the target platform's active rejection behavior; it may return an ICMP/ICMPv6 error or a TCP RST when permitted, but the exact response, suppression rules, and rate limiting depend on the platform and protocol. A generator that cannot keep this distinction refuses the action or says so in its warnings or help. CIDRs are normalized, ports are limited to TCP or UDP, and no raw platform syntax is accepted. Generated rules are display-only and must be reviewed before use; this page never applies a rule.
