How it works
Checks the two RFC 6996 private-use ranges: 64512–65534 and 4200000000–4294967294. It also labels AS 0, AS_TRANS (23456), the documentation ranges, and reserved terminal values so they are not mistaken for ordinary public ASNs. “Outside these special ranges” is only a numeric classification; it does not prove allocation, ownership, visibility, or current use.
